As we welcomed our guests for the first time into our new creative space in Lisbon, MALCRIADAS (February 15 - April 26, 2024) brought together some of the artists we've worked with over the years to support vital charities worldwide.
United by their shared interest in breaking down patriarchal barriers, challenging social norms, and amplifying critical — often uncomfortable — questions of systemic injustices and toxic conventions, the fierce artists in the show represented the past, present and future of bad girls in the art world.
While inspired by the 1994 Bad Girls exhibition at the New Museum and others of the same ethos, MALCRIADAS considered the legacy of feminist art not with a definitive survey, but rather with a general grouping of these groundbreaking artists that invited provocative dialogue.
