What happens when softness and pain blur together? When caring leaves a physical mark? Our upcoming group show, Tender / Tender, looks at the moments when bodies, objects, memories, or relationships become bruised and vulnerable — whether they’ve been deeply adored, overused, abandoned, or injured. We’re bringing together new works by Johanna Bath, Emma Currie, Anastasia Kuznetsova, Sondra Meszaros, Jordan Schiffer, and Marie Tomanova to explore that delicate, raw threshold where being touched means being changed. The show takes on tenderness as both an active offering of care and affection and the raw, vulnerable state left after that contact.
