Description
Masha Silchenko’s (b. Odessa, 1993) work revolves around introspection, dreamlike apparitions, and chimerical connections. Silchenko's focus on the visible and invisible and her extensive study of light and shadow is evident not only in her motifs, but also in the materials and installation of her works.
Born in 1993 in Odessa, Ukraine, Silchenko is a graduate of ENSBA in Paris, and she also completed a year-long exchange at the Geidai Tokyo University of the Arts, where she practiced in a traditional pottery studio. Silchenko has developed her own language of expression related to love, loss and longing conveyed in ceramics, illustration, painting and media installations.
